Terra™ PCR Direct - Genotype Directly from Tissue!
Direct
PCR allows for genome amplification directly from small tissue
samples (muscle, hair, nail, leaf, etc.) or crude extracts, without
DNA purification. It saves time, reduces cost, and prevents sample
loss.
Terra PCR Direct mixes and kits are optimized for direct PCR and feature a unique non-Taq
DNA polymerase and optimized buffers that are designed to tolerate
PCR inhibitors. Templates up to 2 kb and 70% GC-content can be amplified
with high yields.
Two protocols to choose from:
- One-Step: Add your plant/animal tissue sample directly into the PCR vial. This is the fastest protocol!
- Two-Step: Add your tissue sample into an extraction buffer first, then transfer an aliquot into the PCR vial. Remaining aliquots may be used in other experiments, or stored.
